The Bold Impact of Black Exterior Trim

For decades, white exterior trim was the undisputed default for residential architecture. It was safe, clean, and expected. But as modern farmhouse and contemporary industrial designs have surged in popularity, a new champion has emerged: high-contrast black trim.

Using black paint or black-clad materials for your windows, fascia, soffits, and corner boards is one of the most effective ways to dramatically alter the architectural presence of your home. It turns functional exterior elements into intentional design features.

Framing the View: Black Window Trim
